Our Beginning
DaKine Hawaiian Kitchen NSB started as DaKine Poke Bowls food truck in April 2016. Founders Pete Downing and Aaron Smith saw a lack of poke in Central Florida and wanted to bring authentic Hawaiian poke bowls to the area. From that small start, the idea grew, and today we have expanded our menu to include a wide variety of Hawaiian cuisine with new brick and mortar locations opening soon.
What “Da Kine” Means
The phrase “Da Kine” can mean many things, but in Hawaiian culture, it often means something good or genuine. For us, it represents our goal: serve Hawaiian cuisine and poke bowls that are real, fresh & simple. Every bowl we make lives up to the meaning of our name. Guests can build their bowl with a base, protein, toppings, and Tupat's Authentic Sauces. We use ultra-fresh ingredients, including vegetarian & vegan options, so everyone can enjoy a meal that feels light and satisfying.
